The Web3 market in 2025 sounds different – calm, meaningful, and responsible. At MERGE Madrid and EBC 25, this was evident in everything: from discussions about MiCA to practical cases of implementing security. Europe is moving toward standards, and businesses – toward practice.

The Datami team took part in both events to discuss with partners real approaches to auditing, compliance, and infrastructure monitoring. These meetings highlighted how a new market rhythm is emerging: fewer loud statements, more concrete solutions, and partnerships.

MERGE Madrid 2025

The international congress MERGE Madrid 2025 stood out for its strong program and high-quality audience – a mix of European and Latin American participants. The event’s focus was on practical cases and real challenges in the fields of blockchain, tokenization, and regulation.

At the meetings, discussions, and informal conversations, one could feel the maturity of a community moving not toward theories but toward concrete solutions.

The Datami team actively joined discussions on MiCA, on-chain KYC, asset tokenization, security, and blockchain infrastructure monitoring. There was particular interest in practical experience with auditing and building SOC solutions.

“MERGE was all about specifics. People weren’t asking what an audit is – they wanted to know how to make it efficient and fast. That’s a very mature level of the market,” shared Oleksii Lavrenchuk, Growth Marketing Lead at Datami.

During the event, we had many valuable conversations with potential partners from Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, and Switzerland. Some of these are already moving into the Proof-of-Concept stage in the areas of smart contract security and DataGuard monitoring.

The team also met with regulatory consultants who assist financial institutions in implementing MiCA – opening opportunities for joint initiatives.

“We showed that Datami is not just a technical team. We understand how the financial business operates – its risks and regulations. That’s what people truly appreciate in conversations,” said Eugene Akhunov, CBDO at Datami.

European Blockchain Convention 2025 (EBC 25)

The EBC 25 conference brought together key FinTech and Web3 players from across Europe. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the transformations shaping the industry: MiCA regulation, smart contract security, the convergence of AI and blockchain, and asset tokenization.

Participation in EBC gave Datami the opportunity to demonstrate its practical approach – from audits and pentesting to integrating DataGuard SOC-as-a-Service and building compliance systems aligned with MiCA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, DORA, and NIS2 standards.

“At EBC, we met companies that are truly ready to take action – not just talk about security, but implement it in their products. That’s exactly the level of dialogue we value,” noted Oleksii Lavrenchuk.

During the event, the team held over 20 meaningful meetings with companies from Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Poland, and the United Kingdom, some of which have already initiated collaboration – including smart contract audits, MiCA audit preparation, and SOC monitoring implementation.

Eugene Akhunov sums up: “EBC is a place where people value competence over presentations. We talked with professionals who understand that security isn’t an add-on – it’s an integral part of a business’s architecture.”

Together about what matters

Both events – MERGE Madrid and the European Blockchain Convention 2025 – showcased how the Web3 market is evolving: becoming calmer, more structured, and more responsible. On panels and in conversations, topics like MiCA, smart contract audits, and real security standards were discussed more frequently.

For Datami, these were days of practical solutions and meaningful discussions on how to build Web3 with clear logic, transparent processes, and security at every stage.
