On September 29–30, 2026, CV Summit 2026 took place at Kongresshaus Zürich in Zurich. It is Switzerland’s largest conference dedicated to institutional digital assets and artificial intelligence. The program featured more than 200 speakers, while the organizers expected over 3,000 participants. Speakers included representatives from UBS, Deutsche Bank, Franklin Templeton, PostFinance, SIX, Binance, Sygnum, Cardano Foundation, TRM Labs, and other companies.

Datami was represented at the summit by the company’s Chief Growth Officer, Oleksii Lavrenchuk. For us, it was an opportunity to see firsthand how the financial sector is adopting new technologies and to discuss the role cybersecurity plays in this process.

From Experiments to Real-World Use: What Was Discussed at CV Summit 2026

The summit’s official program was divided into four thematic tracks:

  1. Financial Infrastructure.
  2. Tokenization of Capital Markets.
  3. AI & the Intelligent Economy.
  4. Wealth & Asset Management.

Within these tracks, discussions covered stablecoins and digital payments, asset tokenization, institutional DeFi solutions, digital exchanges, artificial intelligence in finance, autonomous AI agents, and regulation.

The shift in focus compared with previous years was already apparent from the panel titles:

  • “Tokenization in Production: Deposits, Bonds and Funds, For Real.”
  • “Agents at Work: How Banks Are Putting Autonomous AI to the Test.”

Artificial intelligence, blockchain, and tokenization were discussed not only as technologies of the future. The focus was on tools that financial institutions are implementing here and now. As a result, the question has shifted from “should we?” to “how can we do this securely, in compliance with requirements, and with clear accountability?”

Four Signals Datami Identified at CV Summit 2026

1. Tokenization of Real-World Assets Is Gaining Momentum

Tokenization was one of the central topics of the summit. A dedicated track focused on it, with organizers explicitly emphasizing that the market is moving from pilot projects to real deposits, bonds, and funds on-chain. Separate panels covered tokenized capital markets, funds, and real-world assets (RWA).

Oleksii Lavrenchuk noted that the range of assets being considered for tokenization is expanding significantly:

“Tokenization is steadily gaining momentum. At CV Summit, discussions covered not only financial instruments but also limited physical resources such as water and metals. The idea is to transparently track their volumes and monitor their reuse.”

For cybersecurity, this trend presents a distinct challenge: tokenization platforms may include smart contracts, data, access mechanisms, and integrations that must be reliably protected. The greater the real economic value represented by tokens, the more serious the consequences of vulnerabilities in the infrastructure that manages them can be.

2. Blockchain Is Becoming Part of Financial Infrastructure

Another important focus of the discussions was the shift by banks and other financial institutions from experimenting with blockchain and digital assets to integrating them into financial processes in practice. Supporting infrastructure is being built, internal policies are being developed, and cooperation is taking shape.

The summit program included the presentation “By the Numbers: How Banks Are Navigating Digital Assets and Blockchain Implementations,” the panel “The Institutional Gateway to Blockchain,” and a series of discussions on banking infrastructure. The results of the Blockchain Pulse Survey 2026 on Swiss financial institutions were also presented at CV Summit.

The deeper blockchain becomes integrated into a bank’s core systems, the higher the security requirements for every connection.

At this stage, blockchain penetration testing, smart contract audits, and testing of APIs, access controls, and infrastructure become particularly important.

3. Artificial Intelligence Accelerates Development - Cybersecurity Must Keep Pace

Artificial intelligence was one of the key areas of CV Summit 2026. The AI & the Intelligent Economy track covered the scaling of AI in finance, autonomous systems, and agentic AI. Panels included “AI Adoption at Scale,” “Agents at Work: How Banks Are Putting Autonomous AI to the Test,” and “Trust Machines: Building the Trust Layer for AI-Driven Finance.”

AI as one of the key focus areas at CV Summit 2026

For Datami, a key point was the connection between the speed of AI-supported development and the pace of security testing. Artificial intelligence accelerates development and makes it possible to release new functionality faster. In LLM systems and AI agents, risks can arise from prompt injection, excessive permissions, memory, external tools, and integrations.

“Development speed should not come at the expense of security. Our role as a cybersecurity partner is to help companies maintain a fast pace while identifying critical vulnerabilities before release, rather than after it,” Oleksii noted.

4. Regulation Is Catching Up with Artificial Intelligence

The deeper artificial intelligence becomes embedded in financial and other critical business processes, the more pressing the questions of accountability, governance, security, and regulatory compliance become. CV Summit dedicated several sessions to these issues: “The Impact of AI Regulation on Financial Institutions,” “Who's Responsible? Liability in the Age of Autonomous Financial Agents,” and “The Institutional Trust Layer: Regulation, Compliance and Digital Assets.”

Any new technology needs rules; otherwise, it creates chaos. This was particularly evident at the summit in discussions about AI risks and the need to control its use to prevent harm.

The regulatory context is already changing. In the EU, the AI Act applies from August 2, 2026, with separate transitional periods for some requirements concerning high-risk systems. Switzerland currently has no standalone legislation specifically governing AI. After signing the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, the country is preparing amendments to its existing laws. A draft for consultation is expected to be prepared in spring 2027. Certain Swiss businesses may already come under the EU AI Act despite being based outside the EU.

Businesses should consider AI security and governance at the development and implementation stages rather than reacting after the fact to new regulatory requirements.

Beyond the Discussions: Datami’s Meetings in Zurich

A separate part of CV Summit was dedicated to meetings with partners and clients. Oleksii Lavrenchuk met with representatives of S-PRO and the Swiss FinTech Association (SFTA), as well as with Datami’s existing clients.

In addition, Oleksii had numerous conversations with potential partners and clients - companies integrating artificial intelligence into their work with digital assets.

“For us, CV Summit is primarily about face-to-face meetings. We met with partners and clients we already work with and had many conversations with companies looking for a reliable security partner,” Oleksii said.

This was not Datami’s first time participating in the summit. Last year, the team took part in CV Summit 2025, where it met with partners, investors, and clients in the fields of blockchain, tokenization, DeFi, and institutional investment. By returning to Zurich, Datami continues to strengthen its ties within this ecosystem.

Key Takeaways: As Innovation Scales, Cyber Risks Scale with It

All four signals from CV Summit 2026 point to one clear pattern:

  • tokenization - more and more rights to real-world assets are being represented within digital infrastructure;
  • blockchain - is becoming more deeply integrated into financial processes;
  • artificial intelligence - is accelerating development and automation;
  • regulation - is seeking to establish rules for this new reality.
  • Cybersecurity connects them all.

CV Summit 2026 showed that one of the key questions today is how to scale artificial intelligence, blockchain, and tokenization without creating unacceptable risks. Cybersecurity must evolve at the same pace as the technologies it protects.
